Esteban's Vanity Project xxxMAS Burlesque Cabaret Nativity Trance!
It's possible that the original, traditional Nativity story may... lack a little something. Perhaps we're too familiar, perhaps things were different then, perhaps drag queens, interpretive dance, and musical numbers were in short supply in Bethlehem barns. We don't know. We weren't there. But now, we have the opportunity to be somewhere even better, to see a scantily clad Nativity with all the spectacular spectacle and glam glamour befitting the incarnation of a deity.
Come celebrate the season with Esteban as he brings you the Greatest Version of The Greatest Story Ever Told.

Vintage Theater Collective and Sun's Out Guns Out
November’s Salon brings you TWO, yes that’s right, TWO fabulously talented creative ensembles with their own approaches to storytelling! Watch as these two groups create art before your very eyes!
Vintage Theater Collective is about dialoging with the past and making theatre today, emphasizing new adaptations, collaboration, and a respect for language. They’re preparing for their Sonnet Festival, and so will be exploring a sonnet through reading, adaptation, and improvisation.
Sun’s Out Guns Out performs fully improvised one act plays created right before your very eyes. They use simple story structure to tell complex, emotional, and funny tales. Sit back and enjoy, they have a story to tell you.
Can The Black Rock contain all this excitement? Come and find out!

Follow the antics of the rag tag SYS, government regulated MSCC (Metropolitan Superhero Conglomerate Corporation), and our protagonists, freshly graduated Milo, Massen & Maggie, as they attempt to determine the role of the hero in modern day Chicago's urban jungle.

New Leaf Theatre
Now in our 10th season, New Leaf Theatre has developed an intimate relationship with the Lincoln Park Cultural Center, the space that formed the company. This year, in which we're producing our two mainstay shows away from the LPCC, we're thinking a lot about what it is to have a home- in fact, "home" is the thematic element that unites our three Treehouse Readings this spring. For the Plagiarists' Salon, we're taking our home on the road, and sharing stories, scenes, speeches, and songs about home, what keeps us there, what it means to leave, and how it feels to go back.

Lights Out Theatre Company Present:
Beard
Lights Out Theatre Company is proud to present the workshop of a new play by ensemble member Haily Wineland. BEARD is about a young woman with a curious problem. Shethinks most of her problems are solved when she meets Glen, an even-handedly kind romantic, but things are just getting started.
LOTC approaches its productions as if they were throwing parties among friends, and holds a passion forsharing its work with people who have not typically been considered traditional theatre audiences. With a specialfocus on creating an exciting, fun environment, and a tight youthful community, LOTC seeks to produce work that is new to Chicago audiences, with fresh, young voices.

Conversational and artistic salons were originated as a way to bring together people with a passion for Ideas. Come participate in a theatrical re-creation of a traditional salon as our hostess gathers a slew of talented guest artists to explore creatively and discuss the question: What is your expression of passionate non-romantic love? What is it to passionately love a person, place, thing, event, experience that is not a traditional "Valentine," per se? See what these artists feel inspired by and infatuated with and bring your own ideas of what non-romantic loves sustain you and deserve to be celebrated! There promises to be an explosion of music and literature and dancing and storytelling and poetry and, of course, candy.
